Have you ever been to a Christmas party and wondered where the host bought those Christmas tree shaped bars of soap? Or how your mother-in-law seems to hold the secret to making her own soap bar designs? Well, it's not that difficult. And with a few household items, you can make your own soap molds. Here's how:

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Any type of tupperware containers.
  • Polymer Clay
  • Silicon Mold Putty
  • Knife
  1. Step 1

You can really make a soap mold out of any container. For the easiest soap molds, simply use a tupperware container that you find works for a soap mold and pour the ingredients into the container. Let stand for 24 hours. Put in freezer for another 24 hours, then run the tupperware under hot water to loosen the soap.

  2. Step 2

For a more intricate soap mold, run to your local arts and crafts store and pick up some Silicon Mold Putty or Polymer Clay and follow the directions on the bottles. They will tell you how to form the mold and how to harden the mold. Then use the same method as above.

  3. Step 3

If you want to make a soap mold that does not have a flat side, then make 2 molds and seal them together by brushing the ingredients of the soap on the insides, pushing the 2 flat sides together and wrapping a rubber band around them, so that they glue together. Then go through the sealing method used in step 1.
