Things You'll Need:
- Plastic eggs
- Wrapped candies
- Park reservations
- Invitations
-
Step 1
If you will be using a public park, make sure you check with whoever is in charge of making reservations for the park facilities. You will need to be sure you don't need to reserve an area for your Easter Egg Hunt. It's not a good thing to show up and have the entire park reserved for another family.
-
Step 2
If you will be having multiple families or relatives at the hunt, invitations are a must. You can request an RSVP so you have a general idea of how much candy and eggs you will need. Consider making the invitations yourself. Enlist the help of your children. You can always find an egg pattern online to print out for your initiations and envelopes at your stationary store.
-
Step 3
Depending upon the number of children that will participating in the hunt, you will want to make sure you have enough for every child to grab up some really good items and then some of the lesser items, such as the plastic eggs with a small piece of candy inside. Many people will put money or other small items in the eggs. If you do this, you will probably need to mark names on the outside of the egg, so one child doesn't gather all of the "money" eggs.
-
Step 4
Buy the candy and goodies. You will be able to find a lot of candy, eggs, and decorations at your local Wal-Mart or discount dollar store. Sometimes, these are also great places to find some unique little items to place in small Easter baskets as well. Once again, be sure to put the child's name on them.
-
Step 5
Fill the eggs with candy and other goodies. This is probably one of the most time-consuming aspects of an Easter Egg Hunt. You may want to get some help from your friends or family members.
-
Step 6
Make sure you arrive before the children so you can hide the eggs. If you have several toddlers, you may want to set an area aside just for them. For the older kids, have some fun and make it a little harder to find all of the eggs.
-
Step 7
Once the children have all arrived, gather them up, count to three and watch them run! It is fun to watch the children go on an Easter Egg Hunt, especially the little ones.

on 1/29/2009 I have stuffed the plastic eggs with the goodies and it is time consuming. But it is worth it to see the kiddies having a great time! Great read!
