Few years ago I wrote an eBook and included the phrase:
    More Traffic = More Sales!
The point of the eBook was explaining how important it is to get more traffic to eBay items.

When we can get more traffic to our eBay stores, this will increase the odds for more sales!

  2. Step 2

The first way to get traffic is to include "Keywords" within your eBay header. I've noticed many eBay store owners overlook this fantastic tool.

The first step is go to:
    - My eBay
    - Manage My Store
    - Display Settings
    - Store description
    - Click on CHANGE

Describe what you sell and what your Store is all about. Your description will be shown when buyers search for Stores on eBay. You can also optimize your description to help your Store appear in Internet search engines.

  3. Step 3

    The box allows 300 characters.
Avoid words like: and, the, me and my family and on and on.

This is the most overlooked TIP I can give you!

Add words with no commas. eBay staff has assured me that comma's are not needed within the description box.

Add words matching what you are selling in your eBay store.

    Example:
If an eBay store has shoes, the store owner could have there description something like:
Shoe Store: Nike Coach Reebok Sneakers Tennis Shoes Suede Sandals Clogs Workout Trainers Converse ... etc ..

    Sure you get the idea.

Take full advantage of this area because this is one of the MOST HIGHLY searched areas that search engines "pull in" from eBay stores.

Tips & Warnings
  • Spend time to learn about store keywords
  • Use words representing your store items.
  • Do not use fake words.
  • Do not put words in your header that don't match what you are selling.
