Snow

I grew up with my Mother making this and now as a mother I make it for my kids. If you have a surplus of snow, this is the perfect treat for the whole family!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 8 cups fresh snow
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • Large Bowl
  1. Step 1

The first step is to gather the snow. Make sure you use fresh snow (watch out for the yellow snow!). It is best to use freshly fallen snow, you could just place a bowl outside during a storm and collect it that way.

  2. Step 2

Once you have your snow, it is time to bring it in and add the ingredients. Add the sugar, milk and vanilla and combine thoroughly. It may be a little wet, so if you have too, add more snow to the mix. Taste to see if you have enough sugar. There's not exact science to the recipe, it's pretty much too taste.

  3. Step 3

If need be, place the mixture in the freezer for an hour so it becomes more like ice cream.

  4. Step 4

Then all you have to do now is enjoy your snow ice cream! Kids love this, and it's a great way to spend some time together on snowy days.

Tips & Warnings
  • You could add crushed cookies or chocolate chips to give it a kick.
