How to Be a Good Neighbor in an Apartment Complex

To be a good neighbor in an apartment complex, you have to first look at the complex's rules and regulations, all the apartments have one, and you can usually find it in your contract, or you can ask one of your leasing agents. But some common courtesy rules apply here as well.
The main thing that you share with your neighbors is the walls which are often very thin.

Instructions

1. It is a good idea to get to know your neighbors as soon as you move in, knock on their doors and introduce yourself.

2. Keep your TV or stereo to a minimum level especially after a certain hour.

3. If you throw a party, invite your neighbors or at least let them know in advance that you are giving a party and you apologize for the noise.

4. Be respectful of other people's property.

5. If there is assigned parking, let your visitors know so that they do not park in someone else's space.

6. Always be polite and say hi to your neighbors when you see them.

7. Do not put your trash in front of your neighbor's door.
