There are three main ways to cook bacon. These steps will explain how to cook bacon in your kitchen.

  1. Step 1

    The most common and messiest way is to fry bacon on your stove top. This is by far the messiest and dangerous way too cook bacon. Turn on the heat to medium and place in strips of bacon into your fry pan. Cook then turn over when desired crispness is achieved. If this is the only way you have cooked bacon try the other ways below.

  2. Step 2

    Cooking bacon in the stove. Preheat oven to 425. Place bacon onto a cookie sheet and place into oven. No need to turn bacon as the oven will cook evenly. Keep and eye on the bacon and remove at desired crispness. This will produce nice evenly crisp and flat bacon.

  3. Step 3

    Microwave ovens can also cook bacon with special holders designed for microwave use. These are also a quick alternative to the previous methods. Check online for types of holders for cooking bacon in the microwave.

on 2/4/2009 I use a microwave safe plate covered with a paper towel, spread my bacon on the towel, cover with another paper towel. Cook 6 minutes on high and enjoy.

on 1/30/2009 I love bacon! I am not good at cooking it on the stove, but your tip on using a medium heat may help. I do prefer to cook it in the oven, mostly because it is easier and I can make a lot at a time! Thanks for the great instructions!
