How to Switch To Firefox

This is a no-brainer, people. Firefox is so much better than Internet Explorer in so many ways, and the new Internet Explorer 8 does nothing to change that. Please take 2 minutes to change your privacy, security, and ease of use for years to come. Change your browsing experience for good!!

Instructions

   Think about it: Why not try out Firefox? If you find it just as suitable aesthetically, then you should definitely switch, since it's security, updates, and privacy are superior to that of Internet Explorer 7/8

   Go to google.com and search for Firefox. While any search engine is fine for this search, it's always good practice to use Google whenever possible, since it's far more in-depth about searching than it's rivals Yahoo and MSN Live. Take a look at the search results:

3. Go directly to Firefox's homepage; it's the top result. Click on the Free Download icon when you get there.

4. If a prompt comes up asking if you want to download it, click "Open". It should download pretty quickly, even if you have a slow connection.

5. Import your Internet Explorer settings. This will make the switch feel just like home. I think the orange color theme does Firefox well. Make sure to explore all the features, like the add-ons.

Tips & Warnings

• Put a Firefox icon on your desktop to make it even easier to use.
• You can delete the Internet Explorer icon, there's no reason why it has to stay
• WARNING: Make sure to keep your Firefox installation updated. Normally, all you have to do is accept the changes whenever there is an update. Don't deny this update too many times, as oftentimes it has solutions to bugs or security holes
