Step 1
If you like to cook you can make a romantic dinner for two. Search through your cookbooks and recipes for the perfect meal and plan your menu & grocery list.
If you're not a good cook, start looking for places you can get a nice meal to serve at home. Call your favorite restaurants and see what kind of specials they are having for Valentine's Day. -
Step 2
One your meal is planned, the next step is to send the kids for an overnight stay at grandma & grandpa's. (Or with any friend or relative).
If an overnight stay is not possible swap babysitting with a friend or neighbor. You can watch their kids on Friday while they enjoy a nice dinner at home alone, and they can return the favor on Saturday. -
Step 3
If you have noone to watch the kids, then feed them their dinner earlier. Set them up with a new game or movie to keep them entertained while you enjoy your dinner. Maybe you can hire a babysitter to watch and entertain the kids while you have dinner.
-
Step 4
Set the mood - lower the lights, light some candles and play some soft music in the back ground.
Set your table with a pretty table cloth and some fresh flowers. Use your good china & silverware! -
Step 5
Rent a movie to watch that you wouldn't otherwise be able to watch if the kids were home.
Or enjoy the quiet and talk or dance to that soft music you have playing in the background!
