How to Make Homemade Household Cleaner

Are you tired of spending money on household cleaner for your kitchen that is full of chemicals? With the way the economy is going, it is time for all of us to become creative and healthy again. Be green and use cleaners that are save for the environment. I have a great recipe to make a household cleaner that will make your kitchen shine, cut grease and will smell wonderfully clean. Lavender is a scent that is relaxing and smells fresh. You can make this for pennies and is not toxic.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Get a clean, sanitary, quart size spray bottle. You can purchase several to keep in each room in the house including the bathrooms and kitchen. Remember, it cost pennies to make the solution.

  2. Step 2

    Mix 1 quart of water with 4 tablespoons of white vinegar and 8 drops of Lavender Essential Oil. Shake well.

  3. Step 3

    Spray the cleaner on countertops, stoves, sinks, etc and wipe clean.

Tips & Warnings
  • Purchase a small bottle of Lavender Essential Oil with a dropper included.
  • Purchase a large bottle of white vinegar to keep on hand for other household needs.
  • Purchse several quart size spray bottles to keep a cleaner each room of the house.
  • Label the bottles and give them as fun gifts to others.
  • If you don't like the smell of Lavender, try other Essential Oils instead such as Eucalyptus, Lemon, Peppermint, Rosemary or Thyme.
  • Do not ingest the Lavender Essential Oil
  • Do not directly smell the Lavender Essential Oil. It can be an irritant
  • Do not ingest the cleaner.
  • Keep cleaners out of reach of children and pets.
