Things You'll Need:
- Creativity

Step 1
Decide on a menu. Focus on finger foods and items that are easy for guests to serve themselves because this is definitely a buffet style occasion. Chili is a good option because you can make a big batch that will feed a lot of people. Another fun idea is to prepare a food that represents each team's home town or region.
And don't feel pressured to cook. If you can find good deals on delivery pizza or wings, go for it! -
Step 2
After you know what you want to serve, start shopping around for the best prices. Most grocery stores will run discounts on snacks and soda this week in preparation for the big game. Look around at their online ads to see who has the best prices. Keep your eye out for coupons on these items too. The Sunday paper in the weeks leading up to Super Bowl usually have coupons for popular game day items or ingredients.

Step 3
Keep decorations to a minimum. The idea is for your guests to watch the game not to judge your decor. Go for plain paper plates, napkins and cups. Or if you don't want the extra expense just use your own dinnerware. If you must have something more exciting, check dollar stores for colorful plates and accessories. If you can't find football theme ones, just pick out team colors. Again, it's not about the decor.

Step 4
If you plan to serve alcohol, keep it simple. Serve beer and invite your guests to bring their own drink of choice if they are not beer drinkers. You are under no obligation to provide a full bar. Do have nonalcoholic beverages on hand.
