Heels - The Perfect Attitude Boost

You bought a hot, sexy dress and the heels to match, but can you walk in them? . A woman who walks comfortably in heels rules the world. If your high heeled shoes are designed well and fit you properly they can be worn for hours, without pain.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Shoes or Boots with Heels
  1. Step 1

WALK THE LINE. Pretend you’re in the circus, performing as a high-wire walker. The only way you can keep your job (or stay alive!) is to place one foot in front of the next, step by step. Your balance is evenly distributed between the heel and ball of your foot. Now put on your shoes and walk with these concepts in mind.

  2. Step 2

LOOK STRAIGHT AHEAD. Okay, you can look left or right, but the point is, don’t look down. It juts your head forward, looks clumsy and your walking attitude will suffer. Remember, your head weighs 25 pounds. Keep it centered over your spine.

  3. Step 3

WHERE ARE YOUR ARMS? Arms stabilize us as we walk. Keeping the swing of your arms at a smaller arc will help you take smaller steps.

  4. Step 4

LET THEM WAIT. Heels are for walking, not running. Take your time and feel the attitude of your new stride. You’ll feel more confident if you take your time.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you wear heels every day, vary the heel height. Your back will thank you in the long run.
  • High heeled shoes should be comfortable the minute you put them on. If not, don’t buy them.
