    If you love to scrapbook and create hand made greeting cards, than you will want to own a die cutting machine. Read this article to compare the features between the pazzles, cricut expression, wishblade, and silhouette die cutting machines.

    All of these die cutting machines will help you create fabulous scrapbooking pages, hand made greeting cards,and home decor projects.
    Because of the cost, it is important to compare features and price so you can purchase the machine that is right for your needs.

    The two top of the line machines are the Pazzles and the cricut expression. The Pazzles is the most expensive of the machines and sells for about $415 on ebay. This machine is top of the line and connects to your pc (uses no cartridges). It has a 12 inch cutting width and cuts fabric as well as heavy cardstock and embossing foil. With the Pazzles you can draw and emboss and distress your cardstock.
    The machine comes with 300 images and you can download more from the pazzles website.

    The Cricut Expression machine sells for about $240 on ebay. It uses a cartridge system and does not connect to your pc. The machine weighs about 20 pounds and can cut cardstock and vinyl. You can purchase design cartridges or buy a software program called sure cuts a lot which will allow you to download cut files from the internet. The cricut expression along with the original cricut machine are very popular because they are so easy to use. If money is tight the original cricut machine sells for about $125 or more on ebay.

    The wishblade machine sells for about $270 on ebay. This machine can cut any true type font on your computer. It can create and cut welded words, outlines, and shapes. The wishblade connects to your pc and doesn't use cartridges. It cuts cardstock and vinyl and can make cuts up to 39 inches long and from 1/2" to 8" wide.

    The silhouette die cutting machine sells for about $180 on ebay. It connects to your pc and does not use cartridges. It allows you to cut all the true type fonts on your pc and all the digital designs on your pc. It comes with 50 designs including tags, shapes, words and 3d templates. It will cut cardstock and vinyl. Sizes of your cuts can be from 1/4 inch to 8 inches wide.

    If you are looking to take your die cutting machine with you to scrapbooking parties than you might want the original cricut machine. It is the most affordable and only weighs 9 pounds.
    If you want the machine that has the most features, than you will want the Pazzles die cutting machine. It is also the most expensive of all of the machines.

    If you are looking for versatality at a reasonable price than you probably would want the silhouette die cutting machine. The wishblade machine would also be a good choice for you.

on 10/8/2009 Hi, I enjoyed your article. Thank you! However, I own the Cricut Expression machine and it does connect to my computer via USB. I use it with my SCAL (Sure Cuts a Lot) program because I have Vista 64 and the Cricut Design Studio doesn't work with it anymore. Again, great article.
