Enjoying the beautiful world that God put here for our pleasure is very good for relieving stress and good for the soul. And it doesn't have to cost a lot.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • An urge to get out of the house
  • no lazy bones
  • bicycle
  • camping gear
  • good shoes to walk in
  • water bottle
  • Insect repellent of some sort
  1. Step 1

Wake up in the morning, step out your door and breathe in the beautiful world around you. However, if you live in the city you may have to travel for a minute.

  2. Step 2

Put on your hiking boots and take a journey into nature. There's nothing like experiencing the outdoors and all of its wonders--the animals feeding in the morning, the birds singing. Even if you live in the city, you can easily access local parks, nature trails or zoos.

  3. Step 3

Or get out your bike and take to the trails that abound in the city or to the country roads. There are a lot of biking trails for the intermediate rider or the expert.

  4. Step 4

Pick up your tent and sleeping bags and head for the woods, whether that be your backyard or the forest. Camping takes a little more preparation and thought, but it is a very good way of relieving stress and enjoying yourself. Whether it is spring, summer, winter or fall, camping is enjoyable. Just make sure to dress for the weather.

  5. Step 5

Pick up your rod and your tacklebox and head to the local bait store. For around $5 you can pick up enough bait to last you for the day. If you're lucky you can take home dinner, saving even more money. Remember, you usually need a license to fish.

  6. Step 6

Did you know the only mosquitoes that bite are the pregnant females? The Mosquito Annoyer takes advantage of this fact by emitting the sound she doesn't like to hear at this stage of the game - the love calls of the amorous male mosquito. Proven to be over 95% effective at eliminating bites. It has a solar-powered battery with six-hour backup. Clips to shirt or vest. (this clip and the pic both came from Cabelas.com [link below], but lots of sport stores carry them. Check out Ebay, too. And, of course, there are always Walmart and Sears. And don't forget CVS!

  7. Step 7

Poison oak has leaves that look like oak leaves, usually with three leaflets but sometimes up to seven leaflets per leaf group. It grows as a vine or a shrub. Poison oak is more common in the western United States, but it is also found in the eastern United States and, rarely, in the Midwest. Check out the Centra Health website, below.

Poison sumac has 7 to 13 leaflets per leaf stem. The leaves have smooth edges and pointed tips. Poison sumac grows as a shrub or small tree. It is found in wooded, swampy areas, such as Florida and parts of other southeastern states, and in wet, wooded areas in the northern United States.

Poison ivy usually has three broad, spoon-shaped leaves or leaflets ("Leaves of three? Let it be!"), but it can have more. It may grow as a climbing or low, spreading vine that sprawls through grass (more common in the eastern United States) or as a shrub (more common in the northern United States, Canada, and the Great Lakes region).

Tips & Warnings
  • No matter what you do, enjoy yourself.
  • Don't try to be perfect.
  • Life is too short...Don't Worry, Be Happy!
  • Don't litter!
  • When camping always make sure to put out your fire.
  • When biking always wear safety gear.
  • Always be prepared. Take a first aid kit.
