PathWords is a letter game you play with your friends or by yourself (solo). It is created by Zynga and available readily on Facebook.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • a decent understanding of English.
  • a good vocabulary.
  • fast computer skills
  • 5 minutes.
  • a Facebook account.
  1. Step 1

Log onto your Facebook account and find the Pathwords application. Once it is installed into your Facebook account, you won't need to install it again.

  2. Step 2

The game works by completing as many words in 5 minutes as possible. The minimum is a three (3) letter word. These are worth 10 points. Four (4) letters is 20 points, five (5) is 30 points, six (6) is 50 points, seven (7) is 80 points, eight (8) is 130 points, nine (9) is 210 points, 10 is 340 points, 11 is 550 points and 12 is 890 points.

  3. Step 3

There are several ways to link the letters. The easiest is to click on the first letter of the word you wish to create, then drag the mouse over the rest of the letters. Release the mouse on the last letter and the word will be accepted.

  4. Step 4

When making words, they appear below the letters. The letters will be red until you create a word that is in the Pathwords dictionary.

  5. Step 5

Making a lot of small words adds up quickly and is easier than spelling longer words. You are better off creating 3-5 letter words, then stumble upon longer words. Also, for many words, remember to add "ed" or "s" to the end to make them longer.

  6. Step 6

Familiarize yourself with small 3 to 4 letter words. There are many more than you could imagine.

  7. Step 7

If you are stuck, you can scramble the letters, but this will deduct points. Remember Wordpaths always has one word available on the screen, so don't give up too easily.

  8. Step 8

You can try to set up longer words if you see them, but don't obsess with it, as your 5 minute time limit will elapse quicker than you think.

Tips & Warnings
  • Have fun and play responsibly.
