Make an Avocado Conditioner

Avocados have long been known for their dietary and beauty benefits. The fats in the fruit actually make it an ideal conditioner for dry and brittle hair. It restores moisture and instantly improves the condition of the hair. Stronger hair is often associated with the repeated use of this treatment.
You will now learn how to use this fruit to make a wonderful, moisturizing hair conditioner.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 medium ripe avocado
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 1-2 tbs of olive oil
  • Hand mixer or blender
  • Small or medium bowl
  • 1 Hair clip
  1. Step 1

Mix your ripe avocado, honey and olive oil in a small or medium bowl using a hand mixer or a blender. Mix until the chunks have disappeared and it forms a smooth paste.

  2. Step 2

Apply the mixture in your hair in small sections to make sure that your entire head is coated. Secure your hair with a clip.

  3. Step 3

Cover your hair with a plastic cap and allow the mixture to stay in your hair for a half hour.

  4. Step 4

Rinse your hair and follow with a moisturizing conditioner. Rinse and style.

Tips & Warnings
  • Your hair may feel a little harder as you rinse, this is normal. Simply follow with a moisturizing conditioner for a smoother feel.
  • Mix the conditioner very well, or else you'll end up with chunks of avocado in your hair.

on 2/13/2009 My daughter will love this one. She can do the avocado hair and the lemon zest/rosemary/geranium steam facial all at the same time.
