Step 1
Check with your employer to verify whether or not your W2 is available online. If you can't get a straight answer, proceed to step 2.

Go to www.w2express.com, or www.rapidtax.org/id42.html. Click on "Find employer name" below the login box at www.w2express.com, then you can search for your employer by clicking the letter that begins with the company you work for. After you find the employer click on it. It will tell you what the id number is.

Step 3
You can now login by using the id number and some of your personal, secure information. You will need to know the gross amount of your last paycheck to log in to your account.

Step 4
You can then select to view your W2 online and print it. Print out the W2 to take to your tax preparer. You can request multiple copies of your W2 for free. Just visit the website and sign back in. Note that some employers do not offer online W2's. You will then have to wait until you receive the paper W2.
