Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

First you will need verify that your current amplifier has a set of RCA outputs. These are red and white hook-ups that should say "output" on them.

  2. Step 2

You will then need to wire the new amplifier similar to the old one. If the amplifiers are fairly small, you can run a power cable from the original power connection to the power connection on the second. If the amplifiers are going to require an excess amount of power you will want to run the power wire through the opposite side of the car as the original.

  3. Step 3

Once you have the amplifiers wired and they are in close proximity, you will simply hook a set of red and white stereo cables from the "output" on the first amplifier to the "input" on the second amplifier.

  4. Step 4

Having more than one amplifier may require more power. You may want to consider hooking up a capacitor to provide efficient power to both amplifiers. This is also a good time to replace your stock alternator. Using this much power may put a heavy strain on the alternator and cause it to fail. Invest in a high output alternator.
