Give Romantic Valentine's Day Gifts

Valentine's day doesn’t have to be all about consumerism. There are many ways to give romantic Valentine's Day gifts on a budget.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet Access
  • Your Imagination
  1. Step 1

Remember the old advertising slogan, “Nothin’ says lovin’ like somethin’ from the oven.” An elegant, candlelit, home-cooked meal is just a Google search away. If you are insecure about your cooking skills, try something simple. I once made a heart shaped pizza for an old girlfriend, trimming the pepperonis into the proper shape prior to baking, and the crust afterwards. As far as my girlfriend was concerned, it was one of her favorite Valentine's Day gifts.

  2. Step 2

Three bucks worth of dollar store votive candles and low lights can help set a romantic mood. Drape a colored scarf over a lamp with a low wattage bulb. Put on soft music, and give a back rub to your valentine. It’s a great, intimate way to connect with the one you love, and has the added benefit of helping to reduce stress. Remember, Valentine's Day gifts don't have to be tangible.

  3. Step 3

Recite poetry, some of the best Valentine's Day gifts start with the written word. We can’t all write heart-tugging romantic verse, nor do we need to. Go to the library and check out a few volumes of romantic poetry. You are sure to find at least one poem that describes the way you feel about your valentine. If poetry is not your thing, write a letter telling your valentine exactly how you feel. While it’s true that they probably already know how you feel, it is always nice to hear it.

  4. Step 4

Buy two single roses, one to give to your sweetheart and one to use for the petals. Toss the petals down the path you want your love to follow.

on 2/15/2009 Very good. I agree it is not about the gift, it is simply the person in your life. If you have them thats all you need.5*
