Improve Your Self-Confidence

Self-confidence is having confidence in yourself and in your personal power and abilities. If you're feeling insecure or down on yourself, here are some tips that can help you improve your self-confidence.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

DON'T compare yourself to others. There are always people who have more money, better looks, etc. Don't focus on them. Focus on you. Recognize that you have gifts and attributes that make you unique.

  2. Step 2

AFFIRM yourself. An affirmation is a statement of truth. Make a list of your gifts, talents and characteristics you feel good about. Turn your list into positive affirmations. Think, write and speak those affirmations daily.

  3. Step 3

DRESS up. When you look good, you feel good. Jazz up your wardrobe. Wear clothes that flatter your figure. If you're on a budget, shop at discount retailers, consignment shop and outlets.

  4. Step 4

SMILE. There's something about a smile. A smile speaks volume. It shows others you are friendly and at ease. Practice smiling in the mirror. And don't forget to look others in the eyes when flash those pearly whites.
