Learn the easiest way to create a beautiful wedding cake on your own for a fraction of the price of professionals!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cake Mix
  • Eggs
  • oil/butter
  • cake topper
  • coconut
  • vanilla icing
  • mirror
  • candles
  • round table
  • card board
  • scissors
  1. Step 1

Take 2 boxes of cake mix and follow the directions for the two 8" and the two 9" cakes.

  2. Step 2

While cake is cooking cut out one 8" and one 9" circles. Wrap each piece of cardboard with aluminum foil to hide the brown of the cardboard. This will be for stability of the cake. If you like you can purchase cake tiers for a reasonable price to sit the cake on for stability and show.

  3. Step 3

After cake cools, you may now put icing on your cake and sprinkle with coconut-this represents ice circles and snow. Place the cake topper of your choice on top of the cake. A snowflake or some type of clear topper would help with your illusion of snow and ice.

  4. Step 4

On a large enough round table place your mirror of any shape. Sit your beautiful cake on this. You may also like to add candles strategically placed around the cake, this works especially well in a dim lit area.

  5. Step 5

Remember get creative! Once you have the basics down you can play around with all types of ideas.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep it simple
  • Have fun
  • Use proper utensils and protective wear to prevent burns or injury
