How to Rejuvenate Your Feminine Spirit
Women demand too much of themselves. As mothers, we often feel as if we're being devoured with obligations, families and jobs. As women, we are so accustomed to putting everyone else's needs above our own that sometimes we forget who we are and feel depleted. Here are ways to rejuvenate your feminine spirit.

Remember who you are. In the course of daily obligations, we sometimes lose touch with the essence of who we are. We feel as if we're disappearing. With toddlers hanging off our shoulders, with commitments piling up, with disappointments shaking our confidence, we feel swallowed up. In the midst of all the duties, let us not forget who we really are. We are strong, powerful, delightful, feminine, joy-filled beings. We have huge capacity for loving. The world needs what we have to offer.

Reconnect with creative urges. Woman are intrinsically creative. It is those creative energies that keep our juices lively and flowing. Amidst all the distractions, we must stay in tune with our creative energies. We must create. Whether planting a garden, painting a canvas, signing, dancing, writing poetry, decorating the house, cooking soup, a woman's natural gifts are to create. How do you express your creative gifts?

Be still. We are the nurturers. We give when we need to rest, we say "yes" when we need to say "no." We feel selfish saying "no." The paradox is, however, is that we must say "no" to outside demands so that we can say "yes" to our solitude and stillness. We need peace and quiet to nurture our inner voice. It's within the space of being with ourselves that we remember who we are; in stillness we rejuvenate and regain our energy.

Ask yourself this question: What do you love? Not who do you love, but what do you love. To rejuvenate and reconnect with your feminine spirit, consider the question: What do you love? Listen quietly for the answer.

Trust your intuitions. Intuition is a woman's way of knowing. Trust these special messages; they will guide you. Just as logical, rational reasoning is a brain function and serves an important purpose, so does intuition. Intuition is the inner wisdom that directs our individual choices. These gut reactions are powerful signals sending directions quickly and efficiently. If we dismiss intuition, we stop exercising its power and deaden our vitality. When we honor the little voice inside, we have the perfect response to each moment.

I needed to read this. I am caretaker for my mother. She has Alzheimer's. I have very little time to say yes to myself, but maybe I could start with expressing my creativity. I often wonder who I'll be when this journey is done. -
