Trying to Lose Fat?

So why are you using a scale then?

4 Ways to measure body fat.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1
    fat calculator

The first and easiest step is to use an online calculator. The calculator will give you a rough estimate of your body fat percentage. I would caution against using the calculator to check your progress due to its accuracy but it's a good starting point. If you take a look down below in the resource box you can see a link for body fat percentage calculator.

  2. Step 2

Another very reliable way to check your body fat percentage is by using calipers. The problem with this method is you have to have it done by someone who is trained in using calipers to measure body fat percentage. Most gyms will have a trainer that can do this. The biggest pit fall to this method is not being able to regularly check your body fat loss progress.

  3. Step 3

One of the most accurate ways to measure body fat is by hydrostatic weighing. This is done by submerging the person under water and using a formula to calculate your body fat weight. Unfortunately not many places do this making it difficult to have done.

  4. Step 4
    body fat analyzer
    body fat analyzer

An easier and accurate way to measure your body fat percentage is with a body fat analyzer. From hand held to scales this is by far the best way to keep track of your body fat changes. My personal favorite are the body fat monitor scales. They can keep track of your body fat percentage, water percentage, and weight. In the resource box below I linked a recent article on top picks for body fat monitor scales.

  5. Step 5
