Step 1
GO TO WWW.HEALTHFINDER.GOV.
This site is one of the premier government websites that provides comprehensive disease and health information. It compiles tons of reliable health information from all the leading health organizations in the US. -
Step 2
SELECT THE DISEASE OR CONDITION OF INTEREST.
On the left of the screen, choose the link "Find Services and Information". This will bring up a list of options. Click on "Find a Health Organization" then "Search by Name or Health Topic". You'll then need to click on the letter of the name of the disease or condition that you're interested in finding reliable health information about. -
Step 3
VIEW A LIST OF DISEASE AND RELIABLE HEALTH INFORMATION SOURCES.
Once you have selected the disease or condition of interest, click on the link that says "List reviewed web sources". This will give you a list of links that contains disease and health information that has been reviewed by experts in the field. -
Step 4
GO TO WWW.NIH.GOV.
This is the National Institutes of Health Website, another source of reliable health information. It is the primary Federal agency for conducting and supporting medical research. Click on the link at the top that says "Health". -
Step 5
SELECT THE DISEASE OR CONDITION OF INTEREST.
Once you click on the "Health" link, you'll get a list of help topics categorized by topics such as child and teen health, women's health, and men's health. Topics are also categorized alphabetically. Just choose the reliable health information that you are interested in.
