Making your own Condiments and Dressings at home.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Making your own Condiments is fairly easy and better for you. Condiments made in your kitchen do not contain any preservatives. Mayonaise, is easy to make, place 4 egg yolks in blender, place on high for about 3 minutes, gradually add drop by drop Corn Oil, you will use about 1 cup. After oil is added, mix about another minute. Remove from blender, place in bowl, cover and chill.

  2. Step 2

Cocktail Sauce is a combination of Ketchup and Horseradish, another easy one to make. In addition, salad dressings made at home are healthy alternatives to purchasing bottled dressing from the store. You can make Russian Dressing by simply mixing Mayo and Relish, Salt, and Pepper. Italian Dressing, can be made by combining Oil & Vinegar. In addition, you can also use Oil, Vinegar and Red Wine with Parsley, Salt, Pepper,Oregano, and Basil. Balsalmic Vinegar can be used as a substitute for plain Vinegar.

  3. Step 3

You can make a tangy sandwhich spread by mixing Mayo, Dijon Mustard, Relish, and a Teaspoon of Horseradish. If you are preparing Fish, you can make your own Tarter sauce by combining Mayo and Relish. Making your own condiments can be fun. However, condiments made at home do not last as long as store bought, due to lack of preservatives.
