Things You'll Need:
- Ammonia
- Baking Soda
- Borax
- Castile Soap
- Cream of Tar Tar
- Lemon Juice
- Oranges
- White Vinegar

Step 1
The troubling economy has us all looking to save money. Instead of purchasing expensive household cleaning brands open the cabinets grab some of the above common products and mix. Not only are you saving some green, but your being green.

Step 2
Ammonia
Add 1 pint of rubbing alcohol to 1/2 cup of ammonia than add enough water to make a gallon. Pour into spray bottles for an effective disinfectant perfect for bathrooms. -
Step 3
Baking Soda
Mix 1 part baking soda with 1 part water. Use to remove stains from tile, glass, china, and inside the fridge. Use to remove baked on food from pots and pans. -
Step 4
Borax
Can be used as freshner and deodorizer in laundry -
Step 5
Castile Soap
Product is made from vegetable oil. Can be used as a general cleaner on counter tops and other surfaces. -
Step 6
Cream of Tar Tar
A mild acid that can lift stains from sinks and tubs. Can also remove spots from aluminum cookware. -
Step 7
Lemon Juice
Lightens stains and removes tarnish from brass, copper, bronze, and aluminum -
Step 8
White Vinegar
Helps kill germs; removes some carpet stains; cleans coffee makers and chrome. To clean wood floors use 1 cup vinegar per pail of water. Can add small dab of dish soap for more effective floor cleaner.
