If you suffer from foot pain or foot pain associated with Plantar Fasciitis then this is for you. Massage is a great way to relieve the pain.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Massage oil,
  • Relaxing music
  • Hands
  • Friend, family or
  • Certified Massage Therapist
  1. Step 1

    Take a warm shower or bath before the massage. This will help to relax your muscles and clean your body. Or you can soak your feet in warm water using five drops of tea tree oil.

    Massaging the feet from the ankle to the toes using a massage oil or olive oil. If this is your first time massaging or you and not used to massages then apply light pressure.

    Massage your feet in separate areas. Massage your heel in a upward motion with your thumbs. Do this as if you are finger painting and tracing the outline of a heart in a upward motion. Then do the outer part of your feet. DO NOT apply heavy pressure on the center of your feet. Massage your toe area. Massage the basic of your toes and in between them. Do this until your feet is relaxed.

  3. Step 3

    Now focus on the area of your feet that hurts the most. Apply as much pressure as you can take over time. Continue applying with your thumbs the heart tracing motion.

  4. Step 4

    Massage the side of your feet by your ankles with the heart tracing motion upward. Doing this helps with the balance of your feet.

Tips & Warnings
  • It is good to do this after a warm shower or bath. If you take a bath first you can then soak your feet in a basin of warm water which is good before a massage.
  • Add five drops of Tea Tree oil to warm water.
  • Stretching helps the feet as well.
  • If you are not used to getting a massage start with light pressure at your comfort level.
