Give a Valentine's Day Proposal

While some women may find a Valentine's Day proposal cliche, others will find it a memory they will always treasure. Use these steps to give her a Valentine's Day proposal she will love.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Call her parents and ask for her hand before you ask her. This may seem old-fashioned but her parents will appreciate the gesture, her mom will love knowing first, and they may even have some ideas to help you prepare your Valentine's Day proposal.

  2. Step 2

Ask her friends what kind of Valentine's Day proposal she would like. The can inform you if she ever wished for a proposal on a beach or at a party surrounded by her closest family and friends.

  3. Step 3

Purchase a ring based on her personal style. A woman who wears very little jewelry and dresses casually may not want a large ring encrusted with expensive diamonds. This is another good time to ask her friends or mother what kind of ring she may like.

  4. Step 4

Offer the ring in a distinctive way for your Valentine's Day proposal. While you can place the ring in her drink or in her food, women will be just as excited if the ring is displayed in a nice box full of chocolate or candy hearts. Wrap the box with red ribbon or tie the ring to a red rose.

  5. Step 5

Give her a card as well durning your Valentine's Day proposal. You could even ask her to marry you in the card but either way it is a keepsake she will cherish. Make sure you write in the card how much you love her and the reasons why.
