Make Ghanian Light Soup

Want to make a foreign meal but you're not the cooking type? Here's a very very very easy soup from Ghana, and it tastes delicious, you don't need any outrageous ingredients annnnnnnnnnddd everyone will think you're a genius cook. (Or something like that)/ you'll need a blender by the way. A strong one.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Two Bell Peppers
  • Four Tomatoes, medium size
  • One onion
  • Meat (preferably with bone, but your choice of type)
  • 2 Maggi, or goya bouillon cubes.
  • Salt to taste
  1. Step 1

Alright first, get your meat, whichever choice you decided on is fine. Put it to boil with half of the onion, diced of course. Put in about one teaspoon of salt and half of one bouillon cube. Leave that to cook till you no longer can see the red of the meat.

  2. Step 2

Take out the green stem of the bell peppers and place them in the pot of meat after the redness of the meat's gone. Put the tomatoes in there as well, and if you want it to be spicy, add one small Jamaican hot pepper.

  3. Step 3

After about twenty minutes of everything boiling, take out your blender, you'll need one by the way. Take out the bell peppers, tomatoes, and hot pepper, add the onion and proceed to puree them on high till everything is completely liquefied.

  4. Step 4

Pour the puree into the boiling meat, add the rest of the bouillon cubes, salt to taste.....and let cook for about ten to fifteen more minutes. And viola!! Not only are you a Chef but you have mastered a favorite of the Ashanti tribe of GHANA!!

Tips & Warnings
  • The soup can be eaten with rice or just by itself, if you're brave, you could try it with fufu, but that's a whole other feat. Coming soon...........
