Decoupage

Decoupage is an easy way to add some touches to your decorating without costing a lot.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pencil
  • Paper or fabric of your chose.
  • Scissors
  • Old Brush (for glue)
  • White Glue or decoupage glue
  • Glass
  1. Step 1

Place your glass plate on paper, tissue paper, napkins, or fabric of your choice and trace around your glass. If using fabric, use a thin fabric as thick material does not work well.

  2. Step 2

Brush glue onto surface of plate which would be the bottom back. Use any household glue or you can buy decoupage glue. If your glue is a little too thick you can water the glue down a little for easier application.

  3. Step 3

Place your design on and smooth-make sure all wrinkles and bubbles are out. I use a old credit card to smooth the back. Popsicle stick works good too.

  4. Step 4

If using a round glass, the glue will be on the outside of glass with pattern facing outside. Butt ends or overlap and glue. Let dry. A clear vanish can be applied if wanted.

Tips & Warnings
  • Michaels and Joanns have supplies for decoupage or most craft stores.
