Things You'll Need:
- A Man (preferably yours)
- A baby sitter
- Some pre-planning
-
Step 1
Sitters are hard to find, keep one regularly scheduled to simplifyPick a date and get a sitter.
I have had romantic dates in my life, many or most even after tying the knot. Dating is darned well worth the time expended to set it up. I remember an enchanting dinner at the Jekyll Island Club followed by a moonlit stroll. One magical evening spent exploring an old tavern where presidents had dined. There have also been nights where we just got out and did nothing more than talk. -
Step 2
Husbands are worth the time extended, especially ones with plumbing skillsMake reservations or try these creative ideas.
Sure there is always dinner and a movie. Go for it. But also think of some a-typical ideas. Maybe an afternoon program at a museum followed by an early dinner. Try bowling. Maybe a cooking class together. A walk by the river and take-out Thai shared on a pier. Maybe laser tag. How about volunteering to build a park together. -
Step 3
You never know where the night may lead.Get out there.
Have fun out there. Put on some makeup or an outfit that makes you feel great. Enjoy yourself. Occasionally, it was tough to get a conversation going, like as if I were coming out of a thaw, or as if he was just waking up from a year-long hibernation. But, I guess those were the times it was even more important than ever to recharge and connect.
