Things You'll Need:
- Fiance
- Wedding Date
-
Step 1
The best money saving tip is to call as many photography companies as it takes to find a wedding photographer that will allow you to receive all your photos copyright free on a disc without ordering a package. You can then upload your photos to a number of photo websites, such as Kodak or Shutterfly, and order the prints you'd like. You can also send the website link to friends and family and allow them to purchase photos as well.
-
Step 2
Be sure to book a photographer well in advance of your wedding. This will allow you the best chance for negotiating your price and save money.
-
Step 3
Do as much research as possible regarding the type of photos that you like. Browse through wedding magazines, friend's albums, websites like Flickr or Picasa, and various photographer's websites. Rip out pages, print copies from online, or write down detailed descriptions of what you like. If you have a pretty good idea of the type of pictures you want, you should be able find a lesser experienced yet highly qualified photographer to photograph you wedding.

on 5/28/2009 I agree that you should meet with your photographer well in advance. I booked my wedding photographer a year before my wedding.
