It is important to keep your cat’s ears clean and free of infections. Ear infections can lead to serious problems such as hearing loss, neurological difficulties and facial paralysis. Some simple steps can be taken to help prevent ear infections in your cat.

  • Ear Cleaning Solution

  1. Step 1

    Clean your cat’s ears regularly with a cleaning solution to remove dirt and prevent ear wax build up

  2. Step 2

    Use an alcohol-free, non-toxic cleaning solution that is free of fragrance and dye.

  3. Step 3

    Use a soft cotton, wool or gauze to clean your cat’s ears instead of a Q-tip that can push things deeper into the ear.

  4. Step 4

    Keep your cat’s ear hair well groomed.

  5. Step 5

    Keep your cat free of fleas, ear mites and control allergies .

  6. Step 6

    Start cleaning your cat’s ears at an early age, so he or she can become accustomed to being handled.
