This is an instructional article on how to actually install your own tankless hot water heater...

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • tubing or pvc cutter
  • pliers
  • adjustable wrench
  • plumbing accessories
  • correct power requirements
  • screen
  • water hose
  • wood screws long enough to attach 2x4s
  • 2x4s to build base support for heater
  • screwgun
  1. Step 1

Before we get started go to your plumbing store and ensure you get the right model for your house and that you have the right size wire and power requirements for this tankless heater.

  2. Step 2

Now that these things are determined and remedied if not right. Turn water and power off and drain old water heater. Cut everything loose and get rid of this money monster at your local recycling yard.

  3. Step 3

Now with a couple of 2x4s and some 2 1/2" drywall screws build a base to attach your heater to. Attach tankless water heater to base using wood screws. Be sre to build so that heater is standing level to ground.

  4. Step 4

Clean all debris that may cause an obstruction or replace all together with new parts for total assurance.

  6. Step 6

Now lets connect our wiring according to inner diagram. Again, make sure you have the right wire size and amperage requirements.

  7. Step 7

Now run your plumbing making sure cold water fed and hot water out is right. You may want to have a bucket and run cold for a second to clear pipes of sediments.

  8. Step 8

Connect your plumbing, turn water and power on and run hot water for a minute or two before replacing aereators, shower heads, and washer hoses(place hoses inside washer or drain pipe as not to flood your washroom). Now you have successfully installed your money saving tankless hot water heater.
