Let me guess... You have curly hair but want it to be straight? With the right Techniques and product, you will have the straightest hair in town!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Shampoo and Conditioner (I recommend NEXUS products - Therapy Shampoo and Humectress Conditioner)
  • Hair serum/oil (Biosilk is a good one... but any of them work wonders)
  • Blow Dryer
  • Straightening Iron
  • Shine spray
  • Hair Spray
  • Clips to separate the hair
  • big round brush
  • comb
  1. Step 1

Shampoo and condition your hair as usually done.

  2. Step 2

Towel dry and comb hair. Add a dime size amount (i have a lot of hair so i use a quarter size) of hair serum to your hair (root to tip) and comb.

  3. Step 3

Divide hair into sections. A bottom layer, 2 middle layers, and 2 top layers.

  4. Step 4

Grab your large round brush and blow dryer. Start at the bottom layer, tightly pulling your hair with the brush, and begin blowing. Do this for each section you are blowing. Try pulling as tightly as possible to get as much curl out.

  5. Step 5

Divide hair again as you've done in step 3.

  6. Step 6

Make sure your straighten iron is plugged in and ready. Work from the bottom layer up, using the straightening iron to straighten each layer of hair. Straighten in one inch sections and slowly press with the straightening iron from the root to the tip.

  7. Step 7

Once each section has been ironed, spray on the shining spray. Use hair spray to minimize the fly aways.

  8. Step 8

    Style as desired

Tips & Warnings
  • the dryer your hair is, the quicker and easier it is to straighten
  • Straighten Iron is HOT. Don't burn yourself!
  • When using the Iron, don't go to slow... It'll burn your hair.
