Things You'll Need:
- paper
- white glue
- ruler
- pencil
- scissors
- small brush
- 1/8 inch dowel or a round plastic tube
-
Step 1
Using your ruler draw a 4 inch by 1 inch triangle shaped pattern onto the paper of your choice. Draw a pattern for each bead or as many beads as you need depending on your bead project.
-
Step 2
Cut out triangles with scissors. Apply a little glue on smallest end of triangle. Using dowel or plastic tube roll paper starting at the wide end into a cylinder bead shape.
-
Step 3
Apply a little more glue to narrow end after rolling up to keep it from unrolling. Slide the bead off.
-
Step 4
Brush your bead or beads with a mixture of two parts water and one part glue. Let completely dry. If not completely dry the bead could stick to other objects.

on 2/3/2009 I'll send this article to my mom. It sounds like something she told me about from her childhood in the 1930s.
