1. Choose a weekday to head to your local mall to get a free makeup makeover. It is better to go during the week because the makeup artists are not busy trying to make sales with all of the customers that are around. You will have the full undivided attention of the makeup artist that is giving you the free makeup makeover by scheduling your visit at slow times.

2. Go to one of the major department stores in the mall that has a cosmetics department. It is easier to get a free makeup makeover in a cosmetics department then in a small makeup boutique. A cosmetics department has a manager that oversees the department that wants the makeup artists to always look busy. This will make them more willing to do your makeover.

3. Find a makeup line's counter that you like or would like to try and go up to the makeup artist on duty. Explain to the makeup artist what you are trying to accomplish with your makeup and why what you are doing is not working. Ask her if she can show you some techniques and products that will give you a new makeup look. By asking these questions you will be able to get a free makeup makeover. Some of the best makeup lines to go to for this are Clinique, Estee Lauder, and Lancome.
