A modest wedding dress.

Whether it's religious reasons or just a personal preference, many women prefer more modest wedding dresses as opposed to the strapless versions so common today. There are some beautiful and modest wedding dresses out on the market; you just need to know where to find them. You can have a modern look with some elegant modesty.

Search ebay for modest wedding dresses.

Ebay. This is one of my favorite places to find discount, yet modest prom dresses, modest bridesmaid dresses, and modest wedding dresses. You can type in such specifics as far as size, and style so that it will bring up results specific to your choices.

Shop in winter. Many bridal boutiques will have wedding dresses specifically for winter weddings that have longer sleeves or more modest necklines for the winter season. Even if your wedding is in summer, check out those winter styles to see if one could work for you.

Mormon sites. The best place I have found to get modest and modern wedding dresses is on Mormon or Latter Day Saint websites. They have the most beautiful craftsmanship when it comes to wedding dresses. They truly are beautiful and lady-like with a touch of the modern, so you don't end up looking like a prairie bride.

Check out these sites: I wish I could include photos here but I'm working on getting permission from several sites to post photos of their absolutely gorgeous wedding attire. Meanwhile, check out a few of these LDS(Latter Day Saints) websites and take a look at the absolutely stunning and modest wedding gowns. Good tips. I wore a long sleeved wedding dress because I was going for a Victorian look. I still think wedding dresses should be modest anyway!
