make Salad Dressing That Tastes Like Thousand Island Dressing

This is a recipe a friend of mine gave me. I tried it and it was quite good. It is simple and inexpensive to make out of stuff you already have in your kitchen

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup reduced fat mayonnaise
  • 3 tsp honey mustard
  • 1 hard boiled egg chopped
  • 2 tbsp green pepper chopped
  • 1 tbsp celery chopped very fine
  • 1 1/2 tbs onion chopped very fine
  • 1 tsp paprika or season salt
  1. Step 1

Put the mayonnaise in a small mixing bowl .

I use a glass bowl that will hold about 4 cups that way it is easy to store.

  2. Step 2

add the honey mustard and eggs ( chop the eggs fine so that they mix in well)

  3. Step 3

Mix completely until the eggs are saturated.

I try to crush the eggs fine into the dressing so that its not so chunky.

  4. Step 4

Mix in the remaining ingredients and stir mixture until it is fully blended.

  5. Step 5

Serve over salad of your choice.

I like having this over a salad with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and avocado. I sometimes have bacon bits and croutons with it. It is better than the bottled dressings and has a much fresher taste!

Tips & Warnings
  • The dressing is best if you let it sit a hour before serving
  • you can use regular mayonnaise if you want
  • you can make alterations and adjustments adding other ingredients you may like.
  • Enjoy the dressing!
  • do not leave out the dressing must be refrigerated.
  • keep for 2-3 days and then toss out
