Things You'll Need:
- Toddler Jeans
- Safety Pin
- Time
-
Step 1
Elastic Band from Toddler JeansFirst, if there are no safety pins in your home, they can be purchased a any grocery store or mass retailer. Once purchased, open the container at home or wherever you are and slip the pointy end into the top hole of the elastic and close the safety pin shut.
-
Step 2
Threading Elastic through JeansSecond, on either the right or left side of the jeans, find the hole where the elastic will be threaded through. When the hole is found, push the safety pin through the hole with your right, or left hand.
-
Step 3
Elastic Being Threaded Through JeansThird, with the other hand, grab hold of the safety pin as it makes it way through the jeans. Keep holding on to the safety pin until it makes it way through the other hole in the jeans.
-
Step 4
Elastic Completely Threaded Through JeansFourth, once the elastic is completely threaded through the jeans, reattach one of the holes from the elastic band to each buttons found on the inside of the jeans. Now, the elastic is threaded once again in the jeans and attached to the buttons on each end of the jeans.
Next time this happens, as it probably will, this will be easy to rethread.

on 10/6/2009 Fantastic information. I had my kids in knit pants for as long as possible as they already had elastic waistbands. This is a real money saving hint. Thanks for sharing.
