How to Submit URL to Top Three Search Engines

You can increase website traffic and page views by submitting your URLs to the top three search engines for free. The top three search engines offer free Submit URL web pages. The top three search engines are Google, Yahoo Search, and MSN - Live Search. Over 90 percent of US search engine traffic comes from these top three search engines. Submit URl page links are usually located at the top or bottom of search pages.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• URL
• Google
• Yahoo Search
• MSN Live Search
• Internet Connection
• Computer

1. Go to the web page you want to submit your URL to search engines. Copy the URL. Your homepage or site map page are the best pages to submit to search engines.

2. Go to the free submit URL or free add URL pages of the top three search engines (see links below under resources).

   Google Submit

   Add your URL to Google for free. On the Google Add URL page paste your URL into the URL Submit box. In the Comments box you can add keywords that describe the content of your webpage or website. In the Optional box type the squiggly letters shown. Click on Add URL. You should receive a notice that your URL has been added to the list of URLs to crawl. Google may not add all submitted URLs to the Google index.

   Submit a website or webpage to Yahoo. You will need a Yahoo account to submit a website or webpage to Yahoo. Yahoo accounts are free. After you have set up a free Yahoo account go to the "Submit Your Site" page on Yahoo. Click on "Submit a Website or Webpage". Paste your URL into the Submit URL box and click on Submit URL. You should receive a thank you page.

   Live Search Submit

   Submit your site to Live Search - MSN. On the Live Search Submit URL page type in the letters or characters from the picture in the box below the picture that says Characters. Paste your URL into the URL box. Click on the Submit URL button. You should receive a thank you notice for submitting your URL.

Tips & Warnings

• Many popular websites are crawled regularly by search engines and the search engines will find your web pages without you having to submit web pages and web sites to search engines.
• Usually you need only submit your top most web page or site map page which has links to your other pages to search engines.
• You will need to do some search engine optimization - SEO - for your pages to rank high in search engines.
