How to properly clean your refrigerator.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Sponge or cloth, warm water, soap, bleach.
  1. Step 1

Refrigerators are necessary for proper food storage. It is important to make sure your refrigerator remains clean. Food that is spoiled may contaminate other foods stored in the refrigerator, it is important to clean the refrigerator as often as possible.

  2. Step 2

At least once a week, wipe each shelf in the refrigerator with a wet cloth and a bit of liquid soap. This process only takes about 5 minutes and it can make a big difference. The refrigerator can harbor bacteria especially if you store Chicken or Beef products for prolonged periods of time.

  3. Step 3

The big clean, is what I do once a month. I remove everything from the refrigerator, and I clean all compartments and shelves with hot water, soap, and a bit of bleach. I feel this is necessary to eliminate any bacteria and germs. Make sure that you throw out any food that is showing signs of spoiling. Before you begin cleaning the refrigerator, make sure that you disconnect the plug from the electrical socket.
