This is a fun and easy way to make playdough that is very soft and smells great.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 pack of your favorite flavor Kool-aid
  • 1 cup sifted flour
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup salt
  1. Step 1

Mix flour, salt, cooking oil and Kool-aid in a large bowl. Stir until well mixed.

  2. Step 2

    Add one cup boiling water.

  3. Step 3

Stir with wooden spoon until no longer hot. Then, knead with your hands until playdough consistency. Be very careful not to knead when the dough is still hot. Your children will love helping with this step.

  4. Step 4

Enjoy! This playdough smells great and is very soft. It is also safe to eat (although, it tastes like rubbish). Refrigerate in an airtight container. I have never had this dough become hard or dry. I usually have to throw it out because it is full of Cheerios or other random items.

  5. Step 5

Experiment with different flavors of Kool-aid. Our favorite is lemon lime. Use cookie cutters and kid's scissors to make shapes. Be creative! You are only limited to your imagination.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not knead immediately after adding boiling water!
