Keep your brown sugar soft . This little tip will help keep your brown sugar soft and recylcles the heel of bread! This simple trick will ensure your brown sugar stays fresh and ready to use.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Open brown sugar bag that it was purchased in. Even though some brown sugars come in a plastic re-sealable bag it is important to keep the sugar in an airtight container or canister.

  2. Step 2

    Pour the brown sugar in the airtight container or canister.

  3. Step 3

    Place the heal or a slice of bread on top of brown sugar and place lid on container or canister. Store the container either on the countertop or in cabinet.

  4. Step 4

    Check the brown sugar montly, the slice of bread will be hard which means it has drawn all the moisture and it is time to replace with fresh heel or slice of bread,

    If container or canister is not large enough for brown sugar place remaining brown sugar in a ziplock bag. If placing in an additonal container add slice of bread.

Tips & Warnings
  • If the brown sugar has gotten hard place heel or slice of bread on top sugar. Sugar will soften in about 24 hours.
  • This tip will keep brown sugard soft reday to use!
