These stories are greatly exaggerated. You can easily make money online without an upfront investment. The fact that there are many ways to make money online without money is important for many that are barely making ends meet. It is easy to find a way to make money online without any money if you look in a few key areas of web commerce.

    Start your own blog to make money online. There are many free blog hosting sites that help you to get started to make money with a blog. You will have to do some writing and promoting of your blog to see it make money online for you. However, once you have built up traffic to your blog, you will see that this is a great way to make money online without an upfront investment.
