Create a Mummy Costume for kids

Here is a great and easy way to create a costume that not only stands out and is easy to put on and take off but will also keep your child warm on that cold Halloween night.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • old white bed sheet
  • tea bags
  • hot glue gun
  • old sweat pants
  • old sweat shirt
  • ski mask
  • old gloves
  • scissors
  1. Step 1

The first thing you should do is take your old white bed sheet place it in a wash tub sink or bucket. Once this is done place a bowl of water in the microwave and boil. When the water has boiled place your tea bags in the water, let it sit for 5 minutes.

  2. Step 2

Now pour the tea water all over the old bed sheet soaking it, this will stain the sheet making it look very old. Let the sheet sit over night then place it in the dryer to dry.

  3. Step 3

Now take the sheet and shred and cut into 2 inch wide by 3 feet long strips, you are now ready to start hot gluing the strips on.

  4. Step 4

Start with the sweat shirt finishing with the gloves. I find it works better if your child is wearing the sweat suit as you are gluing on the strips.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can use any type of clothing but I find that the sweat clothes are easier to put on and take off.
