Things You'll Need:
- Internet
- Credit card
-
Step 1
Determine when you want to fly. However, do not fly during the weekends. Weekdays are reserved for business travel and flights are usually cheaper to accommodate frequent business travelers. Flying on Sundays is the most expensive because of the number of people arriving home to start the work week. Monday is the best, and cheapest day to fly.
-
Step 2
Determine your air carrier. Orlando is a major hub, and flight is cheap because there are many flights to and from Orlando daily. Booking your flight to Orlando can be done on internet sites such as Travelocity.com. I found a flight from my home in Buffalo, NY to Orlando, FL for $75 one way. Southwest and Jet Blue Airlines are usually the cheapest on these sites, but Travelocity will automatically show you the cheapest flight.
-
Step 3
Here is my biggest secret: When logging onto Travelocity. com or any other site to book a flight, log on at 12PM on Wednesdays. This is when air flight booking is the cheapest. Many carriers lower their rates during the middle of the week after reassessing the need to fill flights. You can find even cheaper flights if you have the courage to wait exactly 2 weeks before your vacation.
-
Step 4
Check into airfare and hotel packages. You can find the best deals for vacation packages in Orlando. Walt Disney World is Orlando's major attraction, and many hotels and air carriers are competing for your business during these tough economic times. I found airfare for four people, and hotel accommodations for four nights in a four star resort for under $1,000! If you are considering a vacation why not consider Orlando? You will find the cheapest airfare to this popular tourist destination.
