Step 1
My wife and I are pet lovers to say the least! We have 3 dogs, each of them have been trained to do their business outside. They also are very well behaved. We do not believe in harming our dogs so I will tell you how we house break them. It is very simple but will take a little time.

Step 2
First you need to pick a designated room preferably with hardwood floors or lenoleum. Put down newspaper or absorbemt sheets that covers an area about 18-24 sq ft. This is an area the dog has access to.

next fill a coffee can with several pennies this will come in handy. I will share in a minute.

Now papers down can is filled. The next thing is the most critical if you are like my family we work during the day so we have to have a schedule right. Well so does the dog. You should designate a time to take the dog outside in the morning ( same time each day) mid day if possible, as soon as you get home in the evening and right before bed.

Step 5
the dog will start to go to the bathroom on the papers. When they do praise them ( affection or a treat etc.). If they go to the bathroom elsewhere other than the paper get the can out take them to the papers, look the dog in the face and shake the can. Trust me dogs do NOT like the can it will scare them and show that they have messed up.

Step 6
As the dog starts to go on the paper remove one sheet about once a week until there is one left. Leave this piece down an extra week after that remove the last sheet of paper. Now the dog is on a schedule it knows when outside time is and will hold it until you take them out. I hope this helps you.
