Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Making friends in college is essential. First off, the most important thing is to be yourself. You don't want to pretend to be someone you are not and then
actually become good friends with some people and have to force yourself to change or tell them the truth, which may cause you to loose a few friends. Some
simple tips to make friends easier is if you are living on campus, leave your dorm room door open. In the dorms, the RA's usually have hall activities in which all
students on the floor participate in a fun activity. Getting to know the people on your floor and that live near you is easiest since you see them most often.

  2. Step 2

Other quick tip is to keep the headphones and iPod away. When you have on headphones you are separating yourself from everyone else. It makes you
unapproachable. How do you expect to make friends when you have things in your ears. Nobody wants to talk over what you are already listening to.Go to your
college sports activities you will meet all kinds of friends there.
Getting to know people in your classes may be a little more difficult just because the professor will be teaching and you should be paying attention. In smaller
classes and colleges, generally you do get to know each other games at the beginning of class.

  3. Step 3

You will begin to recognize the people that live near you on campus

and maybe even in some of your classes (more so in a smaller college). Just remember, everybody is in the same boat as you and needs to make friends, so don't
worry about being the oddball, just be yourself and take part in campus/dorm activities.
