Things You'll Need:
- working door key for car
-
Step 1
First do you have the remote if so odviously press the unlock button which will end the noise. If the battery is dead in the remote then this of course will not work. Did you lose the remote and alarm went off for no reason.
-
Step 2
If the battery in the remote is dead you need to take the remote apart and change it. Most require a small slotted screw driver to pop them apart. Some have a small phillips screw also. Once you have the remote apart take the battery out and replace. You can find proper batteries for them at walmart, cvs, etc. If the remote does not then work you have another issue. Remotes have to be resynchronized to the car depending on the model. Most are done by pressing buttons near the car in the correct sequence. Consult your owners manual for instructions.

Step 3
If you lost the remote 95% of factory alarms will disengage by cycling the key in the door. Which of course means lock and then unlock the door lock. You can get replacement remotes from dealerships or other sources such as automotive locksmiths.
