Things You'll Need:
- Internet connection

Navigate to the Checking & Savings tab and click.
-
Step 3
Click on the Savings drop-down and select the High Yield MMA/Savings option. Click Go.
-
Step 4
Select an applicable range for the account balance, or just keep the default selection of MMA and Savings account. Click Next.
-
Step 5
A list of banks and associated rates will be returned. To sort on APY (Annual Percentage Yield) for the highest earning savings accounts, click here on the radio button in this column. The results will be re-displayed.
-
Step 6
Select the bank of your choice and navigate to their site. Consider the following before opening an account with them:
* Is the bank FDIC insured?
* How did bankrate.com rate the strength of this bank?
* Has this bank consistently offered a high APY for the selected account type or does it fluctuate often?
* What is the minimum account balance to open a new account?
* Are there any service fees with the new account?
* What is the bank's policy on balance availability? Some banks will hold your money for 5-10 days after electronic deposits before allowing withdrawals.
